Who we are
Turtuga Productions is a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) of Eurnick Martina, based in the Netherlands. We decide what happens to the personal data described here. Questions or requests: [email protected].
What we collect, and why
- When you email us or send a sync brief. The brief form on this site does not send anything by itself. It opens your own email app with a message addressed to us, and you decide whether to send it. If you do, we receive your email address and whatever you wrote. We use it to answer you and, if it leads somewhere, to prepare a quote and a licence. The legal basis is taking steps towards a contract you asked about, and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries.
- First Listen, by invitation only. If you take part, we ask for your email address and, optionally, your first name, country, favourite track, a short description of where you are starting from, and your reaction to the track. We store this to manage your First Listen request, on the basis of the consent you give in the form. We only email you news and invitations if you tick the separate box for that and then confirm by email; you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Listening to previews. We do not ask who you are to play a preview. The audio files are delivered by our storage provider, which, like any web server, sees your IP address when your browser fetches a file.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The First Listen page stores your invitation code in your own browser (local storage) so you do not have to type it again. That stays on your device.
Who else handles data for us
- Cloudflare hosts this website and delivers its pages.
- Supabase stores the audio previews and, for First Listen, the form answers. Our Supabase project is hosted in the EU (Stockholm).
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on the main pages, so your browser contacts Google's servers and Google receives your IP address.
- Microsoft runs our email (Microsoft 365), so emails you send us are stored there.
Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EU, they rely on the safeguards the GDPR allows, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Business email is kept for as long as it is useful for the conversation or licence it belongs to, and for as long as Dutch tax and accounting law requires for anything that became a deal (generally seven years). First Listen answers are kept until you ask us to delete them or withdraw your consent.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time; that does not undo what we did before. Email [email protected] and we will answer within one month.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
